Secondly, due to the easy damage caused by excessive bending of optical fibers, their practicality in fiber optic cabling is often not comparable to that of network cables, and even far inferior. Especially in some cabling that requires right angles, optical fibers still cannot complete the wiring and transmission. So until this issue is resolved, fiber optic jumpers will not replace network cables.
Therefore, currently it appears that fiber optic jumpers will not completely replace traditional network cables. However, with the continuous development of technology and the continuous reduction of costs, fiber optic jumpers may gradually replace traditional network cables in certain fields in the future.
