Fiber optic jumper connection and disconnection methods

Fiber optic jumpers are connection devices that interconnect optical fibers and can be used to connect electrical equipment, terminal equipment, and fiber optic devices in fiber optic communication systems.
The connection method of fiber optic jumpers:
1. Determine the connected device: Firstly, you need to determine the type of device and fiber optic jumper to be connected. Select the corresponding type of fiber optic jumper based on the interface type of the connected device (such as LC, SC, ST, etc.).
2. Prepare to connect the device: Before connecting the device, ensure that it has been turned off and the power has been disconnected. Ensure that the fiber optic interface of the equipment is clean and keep the environment tidy to prevent contamination of fiber optic jumpers by dust or impurities.
3. Connect fiber optic jumper: Insert one end of the fiber optic jumper into the fiber optic interface of the source device and ensure that it is securely inserted. Then insert the fiber optic jumper at the other end into the fiber optic interface of the target device. Ensure the plug is aligned and gently push in until the plug is fully inserted into the interface.
4. Confirm connection: After the connection is completed, the status indicator light or software of the device can be used to confirm whether the fiber optic jumper is successfully connected. If the indicator light is on normally or the software displays a normal connection, it indicates a successful connection.
The method of disconnecting fiber optic jumpers:
1. Disconnect the device: First, ensure that the connected device has been turned off and the power has been disconnected.
2. Remove the fiber optic jumper: Carefully and smoothly unplug the fiber optic jumper from the fiber optic interfaces of the source and target devices. Make sure not to apply excessive force to avoid damaging the equipment or fiber optic jumpers.
3. Check the connected devices: After unplugging the fiber optic jumper, check if the fiber optic interface is clean and use a cleaning tissue or cotton swab to clean the interface. Ensure that the interface is free of dust or impurities to avoid affecting the next connection.
